TRANSFUSION MEDICINE

Platelets represent a critical component of the body’s clotting function and are one of the most commonly transfused of all blood components. Correct determination of platelet type and the presence of antibody to platelet antigens as a bar to platelet transfusion, provides important information to clinicians and transfusion professionals. With the addition of platelet antibody and platelet typing assays to product portfolio, we continue our mission to provide the best-in-class products that will lead to transfusions that are safe, accessible and affordable.
Rad Control Standard
The RAD-CONTROL blood irradiation indicator serves to verify the irradiation of blood products. The intended use is for gamma or X-Ray blood irradiation with at least 25 gray. A RAD-CONTROL label is affixed to the blood product before blood irradiating takes place. The indicator will turn from RED to BLACK once irradiation has been carried out.
This change in color is reliable and self-explanatory! There are no evaluation uncertainties, only clear information of ‘not irradiated/irradiated’. RAD-CONTROL blood irradiation indicators are carefully produced and comprehensively tested in accordance with our ISO 13485 quality management system to avoid any risk in your processes.
Rad Control Barcode
After blood irradiation the RAD-CONTROL BARCODE irradiation indicator appears as a barcode. This globally unique indicator enables:
Electronic readability of the blood irradiation result.
Automation of the blood irradiation process.
Improvement and simplification of the entire process.
Additionally the word "IRRADIATED" appears in a second field to also show to users clearly that the irradiation was performed. The marking of labels or the manual entry of blood irradiation results is no longer necessary. After setting up the system blood bags can be distributed only if they have been identified and verification of blood irradiation has been confirmed..
This change in color is reliable and self-explanatory! There are no evaluation uncertainties, only clear information of ‘not irradiated/irradiated’. RAD-CONTROL BARCODE blood irradiation indicators are carefully produced and comprehensively tested in accordance with our ISO 13458 quality management system to avoid any risk in your processes.
Rad Control Scale
The RAD-CONTROL "SCALE" is a semi-quantitative blood irradiation indicator. The indicator field changes from light PINK to BLUE.
Blood irradiation produces different shades of blue to make it possible to classify irradiation results between a minimum and a maximum value.
RAD-CONTROL "SCALE" is carefully produced and comprehensively tested in accordance with our quality management system to avoid any risk in your processes.

ANTIBODY DETECTION PRODUCTS

It differentiates HLA from platelet antibodies.
Different sizes of kits for maximum flexibility.

DONOR SCREENING

LIFECODES DONORSCREEN-HLA

The presence of pre-existing HLA antibodies in blood donors is associated with TRALI (acute transfusion-associated lung injury) and transfusion reactions TRALI type to recipients of blood products from sensitized donors. TRALI is a syndrome described as a spectrum of clinical symptoms that occur very fast (usually within 1-2 hours) after transfusion of blood products. Although it occurs in a small number of patients receiving blood products, remains the leading cause of transfusion-related mortality reported to the Food and Drug Administration.
Screening for HLA antibody screening is now available to the Blood Bank laboratory in a convenient kit called LIFECODES DonorScreen HLA. DonorScreen-HLA was specifically designed to detect these antibodies in blood donors, using the QuickStep tool for automatic processing of ELISA.
QuickStep automation allows the screening of 176 donor samples for HLA antibodies from both Class I and Class II in a single cycle.
Most reagents in the kit are ready for use and can be placed directly on the instrument.
Automation allows use without the presence of personnel.
Donor samples stored up to 96 hours at room temperature in a primary collection tube may be used.
Plasma or serum can be used.
The system accepts eight (8) barcodes at the same time, including: Code 128, Code 39, Pharmacode, Codabar.
The barcode reagent bottles eliminate the preparation mistakes.
Reading the bar code of the sample from the donor ensures the traceability of the data.

HPA GENOTYPING

THROMBOTYPE LIFECODES PRODUCTS

Human platelet antibodies (HPAs) may be the target of alloimmune or autoimmune antibody reactions, leading to life-threatening coagulation disorders. danger, such as thrombocyte transfusion rejection reactions, post-transfusion purpura and neonatal allograft thrombocytopenia.
LIFECODES ThromboType and ThromboType1 replace platelet serological testing and, in the case of HLA compatibility, help in platelet selection compatible for recipients with aloimmunity. ThromboType contains the reagents needed to identify a person's genotype for HPA-1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 15, using gel. ThromboType1 contains the reagents needed to identify a person's genotype for HPA-1 using gel.
Less than 100 minutes from DNA to results.
Pretreated gel without buffer included.
Complex typing of the most common HPA alleles.
Red Blood Cell-Ready Gene is the inno-train product line for the analysis of red blood cell systems based on the SSP-PCR method. Through therefore, these diagnostic systems ideally complement the serological typing of blood groups. The modular concept of the kit gives you freedom to select the systems you want to use. We offer maximum adaptability to your requirements or questions. The evaluation is carried out by standard electrophoresis on agarose gel. As an internal PCR control, each tube contains primers for amplification of the human growth hormone.
If no specific product is present after PCR, the amplification product of this positive control must be clearly detectable.
All Ready Gene kits conform to the EC Directive DDIV 98/79 / EC, have the CE mark and are manufactured according to the quality systems accredited to DIN EN ISO13485: 2012.

GENOTYPE ABO

Patients with a low ABO or questionable pattern of isoagglutinins can be retiped with the RBC-Ready Gene ABO / ABO Subtype, to the lowest antigens. The flexible format of the RBC-Ready Gene allows the use of both kits in parallel or only for the subtype, depending on your requirements.

GENOTYPING RHESUS: RHD sI RHCE

To clarify serologically weak D typing in patients and donors, you can use the RBC-Ready Gene CDE and RBC-ReadyGene D weak inno-train systems separately or in combination. The blurred samples are specially tested for categories D, partially D and weak D and, therefore, can be clearly characterized.

ADDITIONAL RHCE ANALYSIS: RBC READY GENE RHCE VARIANTS

With the RBC-Ready Gene CDE system, a clear result of the RHCE C, c, E, e and CW alleles is obtained. in the case of a clear molecular typing for RHCE accompanied by a reaction low C, c, E or e serology, we recommend using the latest RBC-Ready Gene RHCE variants of the test system for clarification. They are too useful for analyzing abnormal serological typing, such as unanticipated RH antibodies. In addition, they can be used for donor / patient testing as well regarding various manifestations of modified RHCE.

KELL, KIDD, DUFFY AND MNS SYSTEM GENOTYPE

Different hemolytic diseases, for example sickle cell anemia (siclemia) or thalassemia, but also the complex evolution of some diseases as a result of multiple operations due to accidents or chronic diseases, it requires permanent blood transfusions. As a result, the blood of the recipients is a difficult mixture blood group screening, especially the Kell, Kidd, Duffy and MNS blood groups. If other transfusions are needed, the molecular detection of the group Blood provides clear results because the amount of donor DNA in the transfused blood units does not influence the test. Also, RBC-Ready Gene confers safety in typing patients who have created allograft or auto-antibodies and / or has positive DAT at serological typing.

RBC-READY GENE VERYFY: COMBINED SOLUTION

Samples from polytransfused patients or patients producing allu / auto-antibodies generally require unambiguous molecular clarification. The new RBC-Ready Gene system vERYfy offers a combined solution for parallel analysis of Rhesus, MNS, Kell, Kidd, Duffy and Dombrock blood groups.

GENOTIPATION OF RARE BLOOD GROUPS

In many cases, antisera for rare blood groups are not available or difficult to obtain. Occasionally, patients develop antibodies difficult to identify which acts against rare blood groups. With Ready Gene Rare ID, alleles of rare blood groups can be detected in a way clear and inexpensive.
In the context of globalization, the demand for blood units with rare alleles is increasing. Our screening concepts for blood group alleles rare will help you find the most appropriate method of keeping blood. You can choose from: RBC-Ready Gene Rare Screen system with 1 the only reaction for 5 different blood group alleles. RBC-Ready Gene 4-Screen tests 4 reactions for 7 different alleles of rare blood groups parallel to the confirmation of D positive or D negative. Further identification of the rare allele detected after such a screening test may be completed with the RBC-Ready Gene Rare ID system.
